Not quite sure what took me so long to add her but now that shes here..mmm.

Brooke has done loads of photoshoots including a few in the nude which you can probably find somewhere on the inter-web.
Did You Know:
FHM: If you could remake any big Hollywood movie as a blue film, which one would it be?

Brooke: 9 1/2 Weeks. It would be nice to see that one done as porn because it would be really kinky, creative sex—not typical.

In April, a judge in Montreal, Quebec, acquitted Henri Daviault of charges that, while drunk in 1989, he raped a 65-year-old wheelchair-bound woman. Daviault had been convicted, but a new trial was ordered in 1993 when the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that drunkenness could be used as a defense to the rape charge.

Yup, we're getting set to enter into the realm of CS with mike's ph33red 33.6. Interesting to see what kind of ping I get in an au server. Don't worry I'll try to take some screenshots and I'm sure mike will whip up some sort of game report.

In other news, my bday is on tuesday and as an early present i got an abit Ka7 as well as this sick heatsink. Has anyone figured out an easy way to flash a mobo bios in Windows 2000? I'm way to lazy right now to use mike's suggestion and load win98 as a dual boot. Please fellow slackers...help me out.

Major suckage... | - 04.29.2000

... are two words that would best convey my performance in CS just now. With a ping of 250, I guess the blame for the performance cant just be placed there either...

For a bit over half an hour, I set a new standard for newbies across the world with a godly 1/14 performance (thats one kill for 14 deaths) which included such efforts as running around attacking a member of my own team (I dont know the skins at all...) as an enemy stood behind me slowly picking me off...

I'm just waiting for eric to boot now, and we'll venture onto the optus@home server so that I can be humiliated once again.

I want to tell you my thoughts on RA2:
I like the graphics I don't really care that much about thembecause I don't even have a good 3d card so I have no idea whatreally good graphics look like :).
I really hope Westwood does not cut anything out of RA2 likethey have done with TS.
I am listening to Hell March 2, and I like the music it is close to the original, but it is still different with different sound effectsit sounds awesome :)
The last thing I must say before I go to work and work all day.
I am still waiting on Ulitmatum to upload all those mods of his so Ican convert them all to S2M format.
A side note Ulitmatum is not gay ok he is just the man so leave him alone.
Well I am off.

I was just reading the latest PlanetFargo like I do every week and I noticed how last weeks was centered around the whole Elain issue with Fargo writing it in terms of the C&C universe. It's quite funny in stages, and well worth a read;

Although, truth be told, I don't blame the GDI President for trying not to get involved -- last time he tried to figure out where to put a Cuban, he almost got impeached.

While I shouldn't expect much from the visitors of a site run by slackers, here's just a reminder to vote in our poll cause I'm going to change it tomorrow (and every 3rd or 4th day after that.) Currently the more than 14 hours a week have it - just over 4 out of every 10 of you play games more per day than I will in a week... I can't wait till this year is over, so I can actually get into a bit of gaming again...

Hell March 2 | - 04.29.2000
archived news - up
Like most people I guess I just downloaded the new version of it, and compared it to Hell March from the original RA (i just remembered that I've got like the entire ra sound track, plus the entire c&c one with all the hidden songs sitting on my hd) and personally, I think the new version is just a little bit better than the original. That says allot too - hell march was probably the best song on ra, and ts' music was quite a disapoinment (considering they released stomp which was quite good) - lets hope that this is an indication of the style that Frank's been told to make for RA2, because if that's the case we should have a sound track up there with the standard of C&C (which as far as game soundtracks goes - owned, specially warfare, just do it and the song at the end of the game)

I'd hardly been rushing out to see it, but as I had nothing better to do tonight I went out to see it with a few friends... The movie could best be described as 'ordinary' and it was annoying how it couldnt really ever decide if it wanted to be taken seriosly or not... While the acting was reasonable the characters were pretty bad (as in cliched and not well thought out - 30 mins after her husband had died, it seemed as if the chick didnt care at all) yet it wasn't just the characters that were cliched (it was such a shock that the rope gun thingy only just didnt make it)

I guess until the concept of aliens were involved into the movie, it did seem plausable enough... while it wasn't an incredibly bad movie it was hardly anything special either...

At long last I got around to spending some more quality time with this game, yet it's still the first time in over a week that I've touched it. Still battling the evil gnones at their stronghold, west of nashkell, it took me so long as I wanted to retreat back to nashkell to identify some equipment that I'd found and buy some more thingies for my sling...

My lack of activity in the game is actually quite depressing. I was talking to a friend a little while ago who got the game a few weeks after me after my endless talking about it and he's already well into Baldurs Gate, while i'm sitting as far away from the town that you can possibly get...

Coffee | - 04.27.2000
archived news - up
It's getting a bit past 11, and as there's plenty of stuff (mainly cgi related) that I've been putting off for days and days I figured that I really should stop slacking and just get it all done...

And i've decided that this decision really sucked, as although its still pretty early (relatively) im tired like a mofo (understandable, as i've been through a grueling reigeme (sp) today of waking up at 12, and partaking in extensive physical activity that included 'walking to car' and 'letting friend into house.')

So unlike a normal person who would take the opportunity to just get an early night, I instead decided to get myself 3 coffee's - at once. Being the adventurous guy that I am, I chose three different types too, Macona Indulgence, Nescafe something or other (this is from memory) and taking a particulary daring choice, robert timms mocha kenya blend coffee bags. So far, the Macona Indulgence lives up to its name, having the best (richest) smell however as I finish this update I'm just about the embark on the most crucial test of all - taste...

I'll make sure that up to the minute updates keep flowing in...

And the month before that, Philadelphia police were hunting a man in his early 20s for seven incidents of public masturbation at area fast-food outlets over a four-month period; in each case, according to the police reports, the man reached a climax quickly and then left without his order.

Please welcome Thermite, the latest edition to the already crowded lp house of love... Therm spends allot of his time helping out Steve Childs and co. over at Childs Play Software, and as such has quite a good understanding of the mod/editing scene...

He takes the crew list to 12, quite a number I know... but having a large number of people (within reason) doesn't really concern me. The entire point of this site was to bring the members of the TS community together, in a place where they could hang out, and hopefully with more members from different segments of the community, this site will appeal to more and more people, and better yet, more updaters means I can slack more often...

Video Cards | - 04.26.2000
archived news - up
Firingsquad, along with a number of other sites have recently been posting both V4/5 and GeForce 2 (NV15) video card previews, based on evaluation board's that they've been given. From FS's preview on the V5 5500 it seems to be only a little better than DDR GeForce's in real world tests (and then its only in the higher resolutions.)

While I don't know much about the Video Card scene this can hardly be good news for 3dfx with the GeForce 2's, coming in only a couple of months, posting scores considerably greater than the normal GeForce's (70fps at 1600 x 12000 in q3.) I might buy a GeForce after the 2's come out - this TNT seem's quite dated...

There's a interesting, and lengthy forum post written by Maniac1984 thats been appearing on a few forums accross the community, such as BG:TS' and PCNC's. The post, more like an article covers the need for mods in general (drawing a comparision between q3 and ts) and goes on to talk about how the current mod's in the ts community lack originality in the way that they all cover the same basic theme that the original ts does, that of building a base and destroying your enemy. He suggests that the makers of mods coumd make their mods more interesting by creating mods that support a new style of gamelay. Read his post here.

Each is more than qualified to do stuff here - one spends way too much time in his own forum (~1400 posts), another spends too much time in #ts, and our own forum, and finally (in no particular order) a guy who does a stack of stuff for Tumsun...

I'm sure you'll.. enjoy whatever they want to come up with for the four days that I'm not around to keep them under control, but they can be sure that if they do anything lame they'll feel my godlike wrath and recieve plenty of granny pr0n in their mail (which I'm hoping wont be taken as a reward for being lame)...

archived news - up
Cyclone of TSD has just written an article asking if the TS community is now dying, after the release of Firestorm. Apparently this is his first article, however you wouldn't guess it as it's quite well written and easy to follow. Yet sadly, I don't think he took the time to cover the issue (the title) in enough depth. He introduces the article well with a great background on the community (the first four paragraphs) and then just seems to wind it up with two quick paragraphs, where he (purposfully) doesn't answer his original question, which will hopefully spark up a discussion somewhere.

Personally, I don't think the community is dieing at all, but that's mainly because I seem to have a different viewpoint on what the community actually is than most. Yes, the community is certinally getting slower (and dieing in that regard) but I think that the sence of community that exists is only getting stronger...

Well worth a read.

As it seems that people get to this site by searching for 'l33t' and 'hax0r' it's only fair that I spend a few minutes catering for that part of our audience...

As you've probably heard, a 15 year old canadian has just been arrested over the dos attack on CNN during February and has been charged with two counts of 'mischief.' From this article, it isn't that clear if the attack on CNN was the same as the ones on Amazon etc. and they just didn't have enough evidence to charge him, or if he was just some kid taking the opportunity to join in... either way it wasn't a bad effort, I guess.

their mission statement versus ours .. | - 04.18.2000
archived news - up
Anti-TTR's mission statement:

We are here to stand up against all that is wrong in the Command and Conquer Community. Back in the days before Tiberian Sun was released, there was a large community of Tiberian Sun sites. Many of these sites had good quality content and the latest in Tiberian Sun news, but there were others that never bothered finishing any of their content sections (ie - TiberiumSun.com), rarely credited their news sources (which is a violation of international copyright laws and treaties), and even misspelled the name of the game (ie - TiberiumSun.com again), messing up lots of people.

These weren't just small, unknown sites doing this; these were mainly the TOP 3 Tiberian Sun sites (measured in hits). Another thing, pardon my French, but the people running these sites were stuckup assholes!

We're here to stand up against all this and to do things right.
[-lp-]/TTR's mission statement
We are here to find out who of us can eat the most taco's without actually bursting apart. We claimed this little windy corner on the web as a place where we can hang out with friends, because that's what we enjoy doing. We're here to have fun. Not just a little, but a big hell of a lot of fun.

We're here to make fun of Microsoft, sexually harass the Linux-penguin and laugh at people who take this whole webthing too serious. And occasionally, we'll rip news of a site and not credit them. Just because we're mean and stuck up.

We're here to sit down, make ourselves comfortable and enjoy a Heineken.
I am l33t around the w0rld ..

We Love you TTR | - 04.17.2000
archived news - up
Those lovable chaps at we love you TTR have a great new layout up, which gives me a great excuse to post a rant about his site.

For starters, could someone please inform me how that site 'does things right'? His main reason for starting the site seems to be his annoyance of the 'stuckup assholes!' that apparently fill the popular sites, yet who is it that sits in his own message board justifying his points by calling people newbies? Or bitches about people in the community more than I do. I dunno about you, but it seems about a bit of a contradiction to me.

Oh, and could someone tell me how saying "TSCenter died when I left" isn't being a stuckup asshole? I sure cant. Maybe its because of all my brain cells that die each time I visit his site in some form of evolutionary process where my brain is trying to bring itself to the level of the people that work there?

Yet thats nothing like the contradiction that you will achieve when you compare the phrases "maturity" and "Captian Zero" - I'm sure the vast majority of you wont remember when I once refered to Blink 182 as punk, because it's so extremely un-important, and infact so had I, until I read his rant thingy. The day I said that he wanted to start some type of argument about Blink 182 being punk or not (apparently they're alternative) and he seemed to think that I actually cared... I figured he got the hint when I told him that he should go to #teenchat and argue about it there because I simply didn't care - obviosly he didn't take the hint after all.

And finally, excuse me for not being involved in the whole big sites suck scene but could someone please let me know what lw stands for? I'm sure its something like 'l33t wankers', 'love wm' or something about as original and comical.

Mike, get the Logitech Desktop Pro, its a wireless natural keyboard with a wireless 3 button scroll mouse all in one package for about 80$ (real money). Its ps2 but the wireless makes up for it all. I've actually tested it out from my basement and it works wonders.

Hardware | - 04.15.2000

For the first time in almost a year (excluding a hard disk) I've actually got some new hardware, yet sadly not all of it was for myself. My brother needed/wanted a new video card and as it had to be PCI and cheapish I ended out getting him a V3 2000, for about $250. It's not a bad card actually, and understandably out-performs my dating 16meg TNT card (which I'm looking to sell, btw...). I also get the 4mb one he used to have, which will replace the 1mb one thats currently in my second machine. I guess if I wanted to be really lame, I could chuck the 1mb into my main to dual monitor it...

I did however settle on the MX400, something which I'm still waiting on. It was really just a matter of deciding between it and the SB Live value (or variation) and even though the sound quality is a little worse (I'm sure I wont notice it) the price ($120, oem) and more importantly the RioPC daughter card really sold it for me. When I get it, I might look into getting one of those sub with 2 satelite thingies for four speaker sound... I've only got two at the moment (my sound actually outputs to the auxilary of my stereo, bask in my l33tness)...

Yes Netscape has finally released something for those of us who don't have a C++ compiler to play with. Netscape 6 Preview 1. Here is what they have to say about it.
Netscape 6 is the first Internet software to seamlessly integrate browsing, email and instant messaging, keeping you connected to what’s most important to you on the Web.
Yeah of course the famous word "intergration". Oh well I tried it earlier today. It seemed to move quite a bit faster than all the other Netscape versions but not any faster than IE. I didn't try it for very long but I found that copying and pasting was impossible. Other frustrating things made me run back to IE. It is worth checking out though and when it's out of beta it could be pretty good. If you wanna DL it click here.

Weekend in review | - 04.04.2000
archived news - up
Another extremely exciting weekend for me. Mom was away in Virginia, dad was in Tenessee (yes i know I butchered the spelling) so I went over a friends house and brought along my comp for a little lan party. Bringing the comp is by no means an easy task. Weighing in at around 40 pounds w out monitor and its a tad bit awkward with a big ass case. But since i'm wicked buff I managed it. After bitching with the usual networking bs we finnally got it working and played some CS for a while then some firestorm.

Around 7 we headed back to school (don't ask me why) for probably one of the most pathetic school events in history. It was a march madness thing with some local pos bands and well that pretty much sums it up. Came home around 11 and I played some CS till around 3am then fell off of the chair and went to sleep.

Morning rolled around at about 10:30, played some more CS till around 1 or so and owned at it. My friend and his parents left around 1 and didn't come back till about 11 so I was left alone in a strange house with nothing but dogs... (I'll leave that part out for some of our younger readers.) Watched some TV, more CS, and I was inspired so I installed Civilization 2 gold (imho the best game of all time) and played for a few hours and got to the year 1400 a.d..

My computer kept crashing in CS with the new 5.13 nvidia drivers so I installed the 5.08 drivers and that seemed to fix the problem, wh00p, back to CS. Went to bed around 4 or so, woke up at 11.

My comp and I then travelled back to my house for a few hours till my dad picked me up then back to the farm for the week, and back to ...dialup :(

I'm in Nashkell at the moment, but I gave up playing after two attempts at trying to kill that mofo that duplicates himself at the north of the town (i'd been playing for two hours at that stage)

I'm quite nicely decked out too, I have like 2000 gold that I'll spend in Nashkell, but I did loose two guys from my party down in the mine (and have since added a new party member, making 5.) It's the best game I've played for ages...

As most of know broadbands have finally made their way across to us (alot like flat rate calls...) and we are getting ADSL around May time. This is being provided by the big TelCo. around here BT. Basically it'll be coming out in my area in july hopefully. They say a speed of 512k which seems like ¼ of what the americans get.... All the info is here if you're really bored tonight :)

Next are the cable broadbands. Being brought to you by the three cable companies, which monopolies in different respective areas. Probably the worst written site in the history of man has all the info you need for cable. BlueYonder.com (dont ask) tells us that Cable with offer speeds of around 480k, yet Oliver and Eric have around 1700-2000k, and the avaliablity blah blah. The sheer lameness of the writting thou is...just this crap.

Anyway, can anyone explain why these quoted speeds are about4x slower than everyones elses broadband? Maybe I should just win the lottery and get a fiber optic or summin' ;)

Server Stats for March | - 04.02.2000
archived news - up
That time of the month again...

In the last month we sent 52615 files (14357 last month) for a total of 672 megs (compared to 88). 35 percent of you were from .com, 27 .net and .nl and .au tied for 5 percent.

IE5 gained one percent in popularity, going to 76. Netscape 4 up to second with 10 percent. TheShadow's review of TS was our most popular article with the ww fans article number two (just swapping each others positions last month) with the KingZeus chat in third. As far as site pages go, the forum was top followed by our serti@home page.

Finally, Chili111's mega super l33t TSC was our best referer, followed by CNCNZ then WWN who took time to link us between sheep fondling and article writing (respectivly). Tumsun falled from their number one referer position last month to a very disapointing number four... I suggest a few front page updates about how good we are over the following month if they want to remain in contention. Massive props to all four sites.

Sorry about the lack of activity yesterday, I was going to post some stuff then, however I couldnt access the site (or rtsfan.) Also, my warmaker@warmaker.com account doesnt work (the server wont let me login), so in the mean time my ttr account will probably have to do. Hopefully, the mail account should be fixed soon.

Fan Poll | - 04.01.2000
archived news - up
The folks over at Westwood Studios has taken interacting with the community idea to another level with their latest effort. This effort is basically letting a fan site host a poll and giving prizes away and such. It actully doesn't seem like a half bad idea. This is what the lucky fan site Da Pound has to say to introduce it.

Here at The Dawg Pound, we are proud host Westwood Studios Fan Poll! Westwood wants to know what YOU think about C&C: Tiberian Sun Firestorm! As their first question to the community, we're holding a poll on a question Westwood wants answered. You can see it below, put in your vote, as everyone counts!
Along with the poll there are other things that make it worth checking out.
